Director - Risk Advisory (Internal Audit)

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee complex, risk-based internal audit and risk advisory engagements across a diverse client portfolio
• Own senior client relationships, acting as a trusted adviser to Executives, Boards, and Audit & Risk Committees
• Shape the market offering by delivering internal audit programs and strategic annual plans aligned to organisational objectives
• Provide clear, commercially focused insights and recommendations on governance, risk, and assurance matters
• Drive business development activity, including leading proposals and identifying new service opportunities to grow the Brisbane practice
• Build, mentor, and empower a high-performing team to develop future leaders and sustainable capability

Requirements

• Extensive experience in internal audit or risk advisory
• Proven track record operating at Director level within a professional services or complex organisational environment
• Demonstrated ability to build and lead senior client relationships, including engagement with Boards
• Strong commercial acumen with experience winning and growing client work
• Deep understanding of risk-based internal audit approaches and enterprise-wide risk assessments
• Natural leadership skills with a focus on developing talent and building high-performing teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certification such as CIA, CA, or CPA is highly regarded
