About the role

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the senior day-to-day engagement leader on RCM advisory mandates, owning client relationships and project timelines
  • Act as the primary point of contact for client leadership, including CFOs and Revenue Cycle Directors
  • Lead discovery and diagnostic activities, including stakeholder interviews and process assessments
  • Oversee project requirements across coding accuracy, charge capture, billing compliance, and claims submission
  • Lead denial management workstreams, including root cause analysis and appeals strategy
  • Drive underpayment identification and recovery efforts through contract modeling and remittance auditing
  • Design and implement KPI frameworks and performance dashboards for revenue cycle health
  • Direct and develop Analysts and Associates through hands-on coaching and workproduct review
  • Contribute to business development activities, including proposals and RFP responses

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Healthcare Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in healthcare Revenue Cycle Management
  • Proven track record of leading client-facing engagements and delivering measurable results
  • Deep knowledge of RCM best practices, including patient access, coding, billing, and denials
  • Understanding of commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid billing and reimbursement structures (DRG, APC, RBRVS)
  • Proficiency in RCM systems such as EPIC, Athenahealth, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks
  • Strong financial modeling skills and ability to evaluate financial statements
  • Excellent communication skills for presenting to C-suite and senior leadership

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree
  • Certifications from HFMA, AAPC, AHIMA, or NAHAM
