About the role

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the EDM team to set strategic direction and support emerging resilience practices related to conservation programming.
  • Lead project management including work planning, monitoring, evaluation, and communications for new and ongoing projects and grants.
  • Coordinate implementation and reporting for initiatives such as the Building Resilience for Nature and People program and nature-based flood management projects.
  • Design and develop training tools and materials and lead DRR and resilience training sessions.
  • Contribute to programmatic fundraising by preparing project proposals, scopes of work, and budgets.
  • Travel up to 25% to project sites to provide technical training and capacity building.
  • Present updates on initiatives internally to WWF staff and externally at workshops and conferences.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience with an advanced degree in disaster risk reduction, climate change adaptation, or disaster recovery/reconstruction.
  • Strong project management and organizational leadership skills.
  • Proven ability in training and capacity building.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; GIS skills are preferred.
  • Demonstrated success with fundraising, budgeting, and monitoring donor compliance.
  • Background in community-based engagement.
  • Multilingual skills (French or Spanish) are preferred.
