About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a proactive 3-year global quality strategy to improve current and future model quality, warranty performance, and cost of quality.
- Establish global business unit scorecards and predictive quality metrics to report status by region, plant, and program.
- Serve as the primary "single voice of quality" to the customer, managing relationships and responding to quality issues or Product Safety Concerns (PPSC).
- Mitigate risks by executing corrective action plans and developing systemic "prevent recurrence" strategies.
- Oversee Advanced Quality Planning (APQP) and program quality deliverables, participating in program and phase exit reviews.
- Ensure global compliance with IATF 16949 and customer-specific requirements.
- Lead people development through annual employee development plans, performance reviews, and succession planning for quality managers.
- Support the quoting process to ensure appropriate quality resources and processes are integrated into new business awards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a technical area (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in people development and leadership.
- Proven experience leading complex quality organizations and developing global quality strategies.
- Deep technical knowledge of IATF 16949, VDA, Continuous Improvement, and Total Quality Management.
- Proficiency in core quality tools including PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, DOE, SPC, 8D, and APQP.
- Advanced understanding of statistical concepts and problem-solving methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a technical or business field.
- Six Sigma Certification.
- Professional Certification in Quality Engineering or Quality Management.
