Director Public Affairs & Strategic Communications

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a high-level network within political Berlin, the German Ministry of Defence (BMVg), BAAINBw, BWI, and parliamentary procurement committees.
• Proactively detect and counter competitor disinformation and false narratives regarding hardware capabilities.
• Design and execute targeted public relations campaigns across defense, governmental, and specialized print media channels.
• Act as the primary bridge to activate Motorola Solutions’ local German Government Affairs and PR infrastructure.
• Support German Business Development and Account Management by removing reputational and political barriers to entry.
• Organize and execute high-level industry events, such as Parliamentary Evenings, to ensure brand visibility.

Requirements

• 7–10+ years of success in Government Affairs, Public Affairs, or Strategic Communications within the German Defense, Aerospace, or Tactical Communications sectors.
• An active, verified network of contacts within the Bundeswehr procurement landscape and the Berlin political apparatus.
• Technical literacy with the ability to articulate high-precision tactical communication metrics (e.g., MN-MIMO throughput, anti-jamming resiliency).
• Native-level fluency in German and professional proficiency in English.
• Experience navigating large, matrixed corporate environments while maintaining agile execution.
