Director, Project Finance

Responsibilities

• Lead ratings analysis, execution, and research for new and existing North American infrastructure and project finance transactions.
• Evaluate innovative credit structures and participate in the development of global criteria.
• Identify relevant industry trends, assess their credit impact, and produce market-focused reports and presentations.
• Gather and analyze quantitative and qualitative data and legal documents to produce ratings and credit reports.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with other analytical groups to ensure consistency and efficient execution.
• Mentor junior members of the credit team.

Requirements

• 8-10 years of solid project finance experience within the infrastructure sector.
• Proven credit or underwriting skills gained in a bank credit department, rating agency, or buy-side environment.
• Advanced financial modelling skills and thorough familiarity with spreadsheet-based models.
• Ability to interpret and comprehend complex legal documents and structures.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working at a rating agency or in ratings advisory.
• Professional background in capital markets or credit analysis.
• CFA designation.
• Master’s degree in Finance, Business, or Public Administration.
