Student Union, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit auxiliary that maintains three major facilities at San José State University in downtown San José, California. The organization supports the development, growth, and well-being of students and the campus community by providing diverse programs, services, and quality facilities.
Responsibilities
- Direct department goals and objectives for marketing, programs, and assessment
- Supervise the Assistant Director of Marketing, Assistant Director of Programs, and various coordinators and student staff
- Oversee complex Student Union events including concerts, performing arts, and multicultural programs
- Manage fiscal year budgets, expenses, and end-of-event settlements
- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with campus entities to enhance student participation
- Oversee qualitative and quantitative assessment efforts to examine and refine campus programs
- Ensure compliance with university marketing standards and risk management policies
Requirements
- Experience in directing marketing efforts across print and digital media
- Experience in large-scale event and program management
- Experience in data-driven assessment and evaluation methods
- Proven leadership and staff supervision experience
- Ability to manage complex departmental budgets
