About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead program execution across the Airborne Imaging Portfolio within Military Avionics
- Develop, coach, and lead a high-performing team of program management professionals
- Provide strategic oversight of multiple programs to ensure delivery on cost, schedule, quality, and technical commitments
- Drive portfolio health through risk management, financial performance, forecasting, and resource planning
- Serve as a primary escalation point for program issues and lead mitigation or recovery plans
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure alignment with mission needs
- Support growth objectives by partnering on capture, proposals, and new business opportunities
- Lead portfolio reviews and provide actionable communication to executive leadership
- Manage financial forecasts and strategic planning for the business area
- Establish and reinforce program management best practices and execution rigor
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree with 15+ years of prior related experience
- Graduate Degree with 13+ years of prior related experience
- 19+ years of prior related experience in lieu of a degree
- Active Secret US Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated success in growing and capturing new business opportunities
- Experience managing government/DoD contracts
- Knowledge or experience with optics or optical engineering
- Experience executing throughout the full avionics lifecycle (design, development, test, and sell-off)
- Demonstrated experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS)
- Ability to lead and develop broad, cooperative relationships across cross-functional teams
