Director, Production

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage a team of Production Managers, Chemists, and Technicians to manage workflow, scheduling, and quality.
• Direct production activities and adjust schedules to ensure on-time delivery and adherence to customer specifications.
• Develop and implement process improvements to optimize production speed, quality, and efficiency.
• Establish and enforce production, quality, and safety standards in compliance with cGMP guidelines.
• Create and update manufacturing policies and procedures while evaluating new equipment and technologies.
• Maintain a safe work environment by ensuring employees receive adequate EHS training and investigating any incidents.
• Manage production budgets and create detailed reports for review by top executives.
• Foster professional growth and development opportunities for all team members.

Requirements

• PhD in Chemistry, Biological Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience; OR
• Master's Degree in a related field with 10+ years of relevant experience; OR
• Bachelor's Degree in a related field with 15+ years of relevant experience.
• Proven managerial experience in cGMP manufacturing environments.
• Direct experience in peptide and oligonucleotide manufacturing (upstream and downstream).
• Proficiency in large-scale manufacturing and process development.
• Strong knowledge of in-process analytical methods.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical problems.
