Director, Product Education Engineering

Responsibilities

• Own the technical education content roadmap prioritized against product releases and adoption gaps
• Build Cursor's technical learning library hands-on, including code walkthroughs, learning paths, and lab exercises
• Partner with Product and Engineering to ensure new capabilities ship with necessary tutorials
• Design rollout strategies to help engineering organizations move from isolated usage to company-wide adoption
• Define performance metrics for activation, adoption, and developer fluency gains
• Hire and develop a team of education engineers and define the third-party course ecosystem strategy

Requirements

• 7+ years in technical education, developer content strategy, or developer relations at a developer tools or platform company
• Proven experience owning a content roadmap and the systems behind it
• Deep fluency in developer workflows, AI tooling, SDLC tooling, CI/CD systems, and enterprise engineering environments
• Strong editorial judgment with the ability to read and critically evaluate code
• Extensive use of AI coding tools in personal workflows
• Ability to build in ambiguous, fast-moving environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in instructional design or learning science
• Experience building or governing third-party education or partner certification ecosystems
• Familiarity with LMS platforms such as Skilljar or Thought Industries
• Experience managing video content programs or YouTube tutorial series
• Prior experience standing up a certification or credentialing program from scratch
