Director, Product Approvals & Merchandising

Responsibilities

• Provide design and merchandising direction and approvals to licensees for various brands
• Oversee all phases of product development from concept to production
• Research seasonal industry trends and competitive sets
• Identify new opportunities to drive volume across all distribution channels
• Collaborate with Creative Directors to execute seasonal direction and brand aesthetics
• Communicate global seasonal brand messaging across regional partners
• Support business teams in making strategic decisions regarding commercial viability of new products
• Partner with marketing teams to prioritize brand direction with licensees

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in merchandising or lifestyle product development
• Working knowledge of buying and merchandising best practices
• Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business Administration, or a related field
• Strong strategic thinking and persuasive communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in brand licensing
