Director, Preconstruction

Responsibilities

• Lead preconstruction diligence activities including constructability reviews and site constraints
• Own project budgeting, cost modeling, and schedule development
• Identify procurement strategies for major equipment and materials
• Evaluate construction approaches and sequencing to optimize delivery
• Conduct subcontractor interviews and prequalification processes
• Translate site-specific planning into clear scopes of work and RFP documentation
• Partner with engineering and design teams through formal project permitting
• Serve as a technical advisor during sales pursuits to validate buildability and cost

Requirements

• 5–10 years of experience in preconstruction, estimating, or project management
• Experience with data center, industrial, or mission-critical infrastructure projects
• Expertise in budgeting, scheduling, and procurement planning
• Strong knowledge of civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, and Excel
