Director, Platform Engineering

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the Platform Engineering discipline, establishing best practices for client advisory, solution architecture, and platform delivery.
• Mentor and guide a team of platform engineering consultants, fostering professional development and an innovation mindset.
• Architect and design secure, scalable, and high-performance platform solutions leveraging AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Spearhead the design and development of reusable platform components, blueprints, and accelerators to fast-track delivery.
• Lead client engagements to assess current capabilities and define future-state platform strategies.
• Support presales activities, including client workshops, proposal development, and technical presentations.
• Champion DevSecOps and SRE principles to ensure security, compliance, and high availability for client platforms.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in platform engineering, SRE, DevOps, or cloud infrastructure.
• Expertise in architecting platform solutions across major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Crossplane, or Pulumi).
• Extensive experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker and Kubernetes).
• Deep knowledge of CI/CD systems (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions).
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience developing reusable assets, frameworks, or accelerators for platform engineering.
• Solid understanding of observability, cloud security best practices, and FinOps.
• Proven success in client-facing consulting roles and managing stakeholder relationships.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to translate technical solutions into business value.
