Director Patient Financial Services

Responsibilities

• Provide direct oversight for the Billing, Collections, Customer Service, and Cash Application units
• Manage Accounts Receivable and overall revenue cycle operations
• Coordinate daily activities related to the planning, implementation, and maintenance of all Patient Financial Services functions
• Meet performance goals including cash collection, A/R days, production targets, and denial reduction
• Monitor healthcare industry changes that impact organizational billing and collection efforts

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree required
• Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated leadership experience in billing or collections within an acute care hospital setting
• Mastery of hospital revenue cycle operations
• Extensive knowledge of government and commercial payer requirements for inpatient, outpatient, surgical, and ancillary services
• Strong knowledge of reimbursement methodologies and regulatory publications
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA or MHA degree
