Director, Organized Play - TCG

Responsibilities

• Own the strategy, design, and execution of Fanatics TCG’s organized play programs across the full competitive spectrum
• Define the structural philosophy of the OP ecosystem including qualification pathways, prize support, and format philosophy
• Build and manage judge and tournament organizer programs, including certification and training
• Partner with the Director of Play and Retail Ecosystems to align event formats and product timing
• Work cross-functionally with Leadership, Product, Marketing, and Commercial teams
• Define and track metrics for OP health such as participation rates and player retention
• Represent the organized play function with external stakeholders and the competitive player community
• Build a high-impact team to support the studio’s growing game portfolio

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in organized play or competitive gaming operations
• Direct experience at a major trading card game publisher or game company
• Proven track record of designing and scaling OP programs from local to premier levels
• Experience building and managing judge or tournament organizer programs
• Strong product and commercial instincts regarding game health and franchise value
• Experience working cross-functionally with game design and marketing teams
• Ability to operate in an early-stage environment and build scalable infrastructure
• Genuine passion for trading card games
