Director, Operations Program Management

Responsibilities

• Serve as the head operations program manager, providing direction and execution ownership for production and unit-build programs
• Own and maintain the operations build schedule, including production sequencing and execution
• Drive daily, weekly, and monthly execution rhythms across operations teams
• Lead cross-functional problem-solving efforts to recover schedules when programs are off-track
• Make final trade-off decisions across cost, schedule, and risk for operations execution
• Partner with manufacturing, additive manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure build readiness
• Establish and implement core operations program management processes and scalable systems
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and accountability for operations program management staff

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required
• 8+ years of experience in program management
• Proven track record of delivering complex hardware and software projects
• Experience as a Program Manager Leader or Director-level professional
• Experience in fast-paced, startup-like environments (aerospace, robotics, etc.)
• Ability to travel approximately 25%

Preferred Qualifications

• Engineering or advanced degree
• Deep knowledge of PM tools and frameworks (Scrum, Agile, stage-gate, earned value)
• Experience standing up a Program Management COE
