Director of Worship

Responsibilities

• Lead Sunday worship services as Chief Musician and develop worship leaders
• Provide spiritual leadership, vision, and strategic development for the worship arts ministry
• Oversee Music Team & Production, Readers Team, and Liturgical Arts
• Manage administrative aspects of services including run sheets, preaching planning, bulletins, and music licensing
• Lead rehearsals and facilitate seasonal liturgical changes
• Direct the annual Advent Lessons and Carols service and oversee Holy Week preparations
• Foster the arts community by recruiting artists and encouraging theological and creative growth
• Attend weekly staff meetings and collaborate on church vision and culture

Requirements

• Experience in worship ministry leadership and music direction
• Musical proficiency with ability to lead congregational singing and rehearsals
• Strong organizational and administrative skills for service planning
• Ability to recruit, train, and develop lay leaders and volunteers
• Commitment to Immanuel’s staff culture, values, and spiritual growth
• Collaborative team approach and responsiveness to pastoral feedback
