About the role

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the Social Work Internship program as a SIFI certified supervisor for two interns
  • Build meaningful relationships with students of diverse backgrounds to promote wellbeing and Jewish life involvement
  • Guide and empower student leaders to develop wellness experiences based on peer needs
  • Train Hillel staff on best practices for serving the student population
  • Infuse wellness promotion into current Jewish life experiences
  • Connect students with culturally-sensitive community services and resources
  • Establish and maintain partnerships for food access and career services

Requirements

  • LMSW required (LCSW preferred)
  • SIFI certification required or willingness to obtain at start of employment
  • Experience as a social worker within a community organization (school, community center, etc.)
  • Experience training or empowering college students/young adults in wellness design
  • Empathetic leadership skills and commitment to inclusivity
  • Willingness to work at multiple locations
  • Working knowledge of NYC support resources (food insecurity, job readiness, domestic violence, etc.)
