About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead video production for Vanity Fair, ensuring all content meets brand standards, creative expectations, and performance goals
- Manage and mentor a team of producers and partner with regional leads to guide day-to-day execution
- Collaborate with Programming and Development teams to shape video strategy and launch new series
- Oversee production logistics, including team assignments, shoot planning, and resource allocation
- Generate new content ideas and formats optimized for social, YouTube, and emerging platforms
- Lead hiring, resourcing, and talent development for both staff and freelance teams
- Act as a key cross-functional partner to editorial, marketing, and audience development teams
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of experience in a fast-paced production environment
- Minimum 3 years of directing and/or content leadership experience
- Proven experience managing and developing staff and freelance teams
- Strong understanding of production and post-production workflows
- Experience managing high-volume content pipelines
Preferred Qualifications
- Deep knowledge of digital media and the evolving video landscape
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities
- Highly solution-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
- Strong interest in popular culture, including film, television, music, and current events
- Ability to develop content that drives audience growth and brand visibility
