Director of the Torgerson Center for Nordic Studies

Responsibilities

• Provide programmatic oversight for key Center priorities and collaborate with the Executive Director on strategic planning
• Manage the Center's budgets and oversee grants for students, faculty, and staff
• Manage the facilities, scheduling, and daily operations of the physical Center space
• Develop robust programming and internship placements in partnership with on- and off-campus stakeholders
• Maintain and expand connections with partner institutions in the United States and the Nordic region
• Provide leadership and oversight for visits from Nordic dignitaries
• Hire, train, and supervise student workers

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• Proven experience in developing and sustaining programs
• Experience creating and maintaining budget systems
• Strong communication skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders
• Ability to cultivate inclusive and equitable working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and alumni
• Willingness to work occasional irregular hours, including nights and weekends
