About the role

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow annual giving through Bulldog Club membership
  • Attain net revenue targets through strategic growth and sound expense management
  • Develop and manage assigned budgets effectively
  • Plan, organize, and execute major fundraising events, including the Bulldog Bash and Samford Classic
  • Maintain and cultivate a portfolio of donors and prospects
  • Recruit and solicit new annual giving donors
  • Supervise the Assistant Director of the Bulldog Club and manage team members
  • Host and entertain donors and prospective donors at club events
  • Work closely with University Advancement, head coaches, and athletics marketing to achieve fundraising goals
  • Ensure compliance with NCAA rules and regulations regarding outside interest groups
  • Increase the visibility and support of the S-Club (the official letter winners club)

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline
  • Ability to work nights and weekends in addition to normal business hours
  • Ability to perform limited travel
  • Ability to set up and break down for donor hospitality and fundraising events

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in fundraising, athletics development, or event operations
  • Former student-athlete with a strong sense of teamwork and athletics culture
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of Donor Management software
