About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop, organize, and coordinate a multi-modal array of evidence-based education and training programs to enhance faculty effectiveness and student learning.
- Implement the Center’s strategic plan, rooted in the Ignatian Pedagogical Paradigm, to provide holistic support for faculty professional development.
- Lead teaching and learning support for the Center for Faculty Development, including the hiring, training, and development of professional staff and student workers.
- Provide high-quality professional development opportunities and individualized support to faculty.
- Foster collaboration and maintain relationships with faculty and campus partners to meet institutional needs.
- Assess program outcomes and adjust initiatives to ensure continuous improvement of support services.
- Support the process for soliciting, vetting, and selecting faculty for excellence awards.
Requirements
- Doctoral degree with an emphasis in higher education, instructional design, human relations, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience teaching at the university level.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive leadership experience in pedagogical development.
- Proven history of building and maintaining internal partnerships and administrative skills in higher education.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with design software such as Adobe Creative Suite or Canva.
- Experience using database tools such as Airtable.
