About the role
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and implement social, cultural, and leadership development activities and special events to improve student engagement.
- Plan and evaluate campus-wide programs such as Welcome Week, Service Learning, and Community Service programs.
- Oversee Student Greek and Social Fellowship organizations, including governance and policy development.
- Advise the Student Government Association (SGA), including budget development and administrative management.
- Manage the Marcus Foster Student Alumni Center as a daytime building manager and clearinghouse for campus usage.
- Lead signature university programs including Black History Month, Women's History Month, and Homecoming.
- Develop and manage the master campus events calendar and utilize social media for marketing and outreach.
- Monitor and manage budgets for Student Activities, the Student Center, and the SGA.
- Coordinate with IT and Public Safety to ensure proper use of technology and security of university property.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree.
- 4-5 years of related student affairs experience.
- At least 1 year of staff supervisory experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word Suite and other related software.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to organize, plan, and manage multiple tasks effectively.
