Director of Student Housing and Residence Life

Responsibilities

• Manage residence hall housing for over 400 students, including room assignments and billing.
• Oversee residence life finances, including budgeting and financial projections.
• Collaborate with facilities, dining services, security, and IT to maintain a high-quality living and learning community.
• Direct and educate residence life staff to foster a positive, multicultural, and learner-centered community.
• Lead the selection, training, and supervision of approximately 18 Resident Assistants per term.
• Provide leadership and response for residence life emergencies and crisis management.
• Develop and publish residence life materials, such as procedure manuals and housing guides.
• Support university-wide events including orientations, commencement, and welcome weeks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Minimum of two years of professional residence life experience.
• Proven experience supervising student staff.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, and assume on-call responsibilities.

• Experience using Adirondack Solutions Software (Housing Director).
