About the role
Responsibilities
- Direct the administration of Student Financial Services, including establishing short-term and long-range goals and enforcing policies.
- Manage financial aid compliance by coordinating institutional funds with federal and state programs, including Title IV.
- Supervise a team consisting of an Associate Director, Financial Advisors, a Loan Officer, and student employees.
- Evaluate student financial need, manage financial clearance processes, and authorize federal and state funds.
- Serve as the university’s Veteran’s Affairs Representative, administering benefits and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Conduct financial aid seminars and workshops to counsel students and parents on debt management and financial planning.
- Prepare and submit required federal and state reports and analyze financial data.
- Manage financial aid awards for the Adventist Colleges Abroad program.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in a related field is preferred.
- 4 to 10 years of related experience and/or training in financial aid administration.
- Proficiency in using Student Information Systems.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with superior command of English grammar.
- Ability to analyze financial documents and statistical data using mathematical formulas.
- Demonstrated leadership, planning, and organizational skills.
