Director of Student Financial Aid

Responsibilities

• Direct the administration of Student Financial Services by establishing short-term and long-range goals and enforcing policies.
• Manage financial aid compliance for Title IV, state programs, and institutional funds.
• Supervise a team including an Associate Director, Financial Advisors, and student employees.
• Evaluate student financial need, manage clearance processes, and authorize federal and state funds.
• Serve as the university’s Veteran’s Affairs Representative, administering benefits and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Conduct financial aid seminars and workshops to counsel students and parents on debt management and financial planning.
• Prepare and submit required federal and state reports and analyze statistical data.
• Manage financial aid awards for the Adventist Colleges Abroad program.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 4 to 10 years of related experience and/or training.
• Proficiency in Student Information Systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
• Strong leadership, planning, and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with superior command of English grammar.
• Ability to analyze financial documents and statistical data using mathematical formulas.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related field.
• Conversational Spanish skills.
