About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic oversight for Orientation, Recognized Student Organizations (RSOs), fraternity and sorority life, leadership programs, and Parent & Family Programs.
  • Manage daily operations of the Student Union, including building usage, student desk operations, and facility quality.
  • Supervise two full-time professional staff members and approximately 60 student staff members.
  • Lead the conceptualization, development, and implementation of fall and spring Orientation programs.
  • Develop and implement campus-wide leadership development programs and recognition ceremonies.
  • Manage departmental and orientation budgets, including creating and adjusting operational plans.
  • Serve as a conduct officer for student cases and participate in the CARES/Behavioral Intervention Team.

Requirements

  • Master's degree.
  • 5-10 years of experience in student engagement, student activities, or working with recognized student organizations.
  • Proven supervisory experience.
  • Strong organizational, administrative, and technological skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of student development theory and leadership education.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience serving as a student conduct officer.
  • Experience supervising full-time professional staff.
  • Proficiency with online management software such as CampusGroups or Maxient.
  • Active involvement in local, state, or national professional student activities organizations.
