About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic oversight for Orientation, Recognized Student Organizations (RSOs), fraternity and sorority life, leadership programs, and Parent & Family Programs.
- Manage daily operations of the Student Union, including building usage, student desk operations, and facility quality.
- Supervise two full-time professional staff members and approximately 60 student staff members.
- Lead the conceptualization, development, and implementation of fall and spring Orientation programs.
- Develop and implement campus-wide leadership development programs and recognition ceremonies.
- Manage departmental and orientation budgets, including creating and adjusting operational plans.
- Serve as a conduct officer for student cases and participate in the CARES/Behavioral Intervention Team.
Requirements
- Master's degree.
- 5-10 years of experience in student engagement, student activities, or working with recognized student organizations.
- Proven supervisory experience.
- Strong organizational, administrative, and technological skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of student development theory and leadership education.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience serving as a student conduct officer.
- Experience supervising full-time professional staff.
- Proficiency with online management software such as CampusGroups or Maxient.
- Active involvement in local, state, or national professional student activities organizations.
