Director of Strategy

Responsibilities

• Conduct research, literature reviews, and data analysis to design and plan workforce programs
• Lead program design development for in-school and out-of-school programs like SYEP and WIOA
• Support COMPASS expansion by developing strategic partnerships to bridge career exploration and work-based learning
• Manage budget and fiscal planning, including year-end tracking, reporting, and projections
• Serve as a liaison between Workforce and the Bureau of Budget and Finance
• Manage external relationships with City government agencies and City Hall
• Prepare high-level reports, presentations, and policy briefings for leadership and elected officials
• Develop agency-wide policies, standards, frameworks, and toolkits
• Set and track team priorities, goals, and performance metrics

Requirements

• Master's degree in economics, finance, public administration, or related field plus 1 year of professional experience
• OR Baccalaureate degree plus 3 years of professional experience
• OR Associate degree plus 5 years of professional experience
• OR High school diploma plus 7 years of professional experience
• Experience in budget administration, program evaluation, or public administration
• Knowledge of workforce development or working with populations facing employment barriers
