Director of Strategic Growth

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of growth strategies for assigned defense opportunities
• Manage the full capture lifecycle including competitive intelligence and Price-to-Win analysis
• Collaborate with engineering directors to align IR&D projects with technological solutions
• Lead internal gate reviews and present data-driven recommendations to senior leadership
• Identify and negotiate teaming agreements with subcontractors and small business partners
• Conduct meaningful engagements with government stakeholders to shape requirements
• Support proposal development by writing technical content and leading review teams
• Manage post-award transitions and maintain customer relationships

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or Political Science
• 10+ years of experience in Defense Acquisition or Solution Development
• 5+ years of experience in Solution Development or Portfolio Optimization
• Active TS/SCI clearance (US citizenship required)
• Proven history of winning projects or portfolios valued at >$50M
• Deep understanding of the Shipley Associates business development lifecycle
• Ability to understand complex technical systems like C4ISR, Cyber, and Aerospace
• Existing relationships across Department of Defense with an emphasis on the Army

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree
• Experience managing IR&D budgets or technical product roadmaps
