Director of Strategic Finance

Responsibilities

• Own the company-wide operating model, including revenue forecasting, headcount planning, and expense budgets
• Build and run the FP&A cadence, including annual planning, quarterly reforecasts, and monthly variance reviews
• Manage cash, runway, and burn, including cash forecasting, treasury operations, and capital planning
• Develop unit economics for enterprise AI deployments, focusing on contract-level margins and compute costs
• Prepare board materials, investor updates, and KPI reporting, and lead financial diligence for future fundraises
• Partner with GTM and leadership on pricing, deal structures, and contract economics for complex enterprise and government deals
• Oversee outsourced accounting, tax, and compliance providers to mature the monthly close
• Stand up financial systems and tooling to lay the foundation for a future finance team

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in finance with deep FP&A or strategic finance expertise
• Proven experience operating within a high-growth startup environment
• Fluency in SaaS and enterprise metrics (ARR, NDR, gross margin, burn multiple)
• Experience managing complex enterprise and government contract structures, such as milestone-based billing and multi-year agreements
• Ability to build operating models and financial processes from the ground up without existing infrastructure

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in investment banking, private equity, or management consulting
• Experience as an early or first finance hire at a high-growth company
