Director of Sports Information

Responsibilities

• Oversee all statistical and media relations aspects of the intercollegiate athletic program
• Write daily and weekly press releases, recaps, and previews for all varsity sports
• Produce athletic publications including game notes, brochures, media guides, and special event materials
• Maintain the athletic department website with rosters, bios, statistics, and photos
• Manage and supervise student workers and gameday personnel, including press box and scorer's table staff
• Develop and implement a social media presence for ONU Athletics
• Act as the primary liaison between the university and local, hometown, and conference media
• Maintain accurate current and historical statistical records
• Collaborate with coaches to organize media days, team photos, and headshots
• Coordinate with media services to manage live streams of athletic events

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
• Experience using statistical software, specifically PrestoStats
• Experience with print media production
• Fluency in English with strong written communication skills (grammar, spelling, and punctuation)
• Ability to work evenings and weekends to provide event coverage
