Director of Sourcing

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of sourcing strategies for major chemical raw material categories.
• Align with leadership to analyze business requirements and develop category strategies that improve competitive positioning.
• Negotiate procurement agreements and manage key relationships with global suppliers.
• Develop risk management plans for key categories and conduct global RF(X) processes.
• Provide market intelligence updates to business teams to inform strategic planning.
• Mentor and empower team members in effective category management and procurement best practices.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with regional business units, supply chain, and operations sites.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, finance, mathematics, engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement, commercial, or supply chain roles.
• Proven track record of creating, documenting, and executing global category strategies.
• Strong commercial contract negotiation skills and experience with major corporations.
• Exceptional analytical decision-making skills and ability to manage complex sourcing models.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA degree.
• At least 5 years of experience specifically managing global chemical categories.
• Experience with SAP and e-procurement software.
