About the role

Responsibilities

  • Oversee delivery of a large solar program market outreach team to achieve goals and client satisfaction
  • Develop cross-department coordination with information systems teams for custom software enhancement
  • Monitor program performance metrics, budgets, and timelines while addressing risks
  • Stay current on energy codes, incentive programs, and emerging technologies
  • Lead and motivate internal staff and subcontractors through policy and strategy formulation
  • Supervise a multidisciplinary team, managing workload distribution and professional development
  • Maintain and develop client and partner relationships to ensure service excellence
  • Support business development efforts, including proposal development and identifying new opportunities
  • Represent the company as a thought leader at industry conferences and boards

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, energy, policy, engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in program implementation and growth
  • Minimum of 5 years of supervision and leadership of multigenerational teams
  • Familiarity with the North American solar market, specifically Illinois or income-qualified offerings
  • Experience managing operational or product teams to deliver client outcomes
  • Experience bridging the gap between client needs and software development timelines
  • Strong financial acumen including budgeting and cost management
  • Experience leading contract negotiations and renewals
  • Ability to travel to Chicago at least once per quarter
