Director of Software Engineering, Web Platform

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the software engineering strategy in alignment with company goals
• Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing software engineering team
• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of complex software projects
• Drive the design, development, and maintenance of cloud software and the LiveOps product
• Ensure the adoption of best practices in coding standards, architecture, testing, and documentation
• Collaborate with hardware, device software, and autonomy teams to deliver integrated solutions
• Manage the software engineering budget and acquisition of development tools
• Communicate project status, risks, and technical information to executive leadership and stakeholders

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 8+ years of software engineering experience
• 4+ years of experience in a leadership role
• Proven track record of delivering complex software projects
• Strong knowledge of software development methodologies, tools, and technologies
• Excellent analytical and decision-making skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Experience working in environments that require navigating ambiguity and solving undefined problems
