Director of Software Engineering

Responsibilities

• Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction for the development and delivery of products, applications, and technologies.
• Serve as a hands-on engineering leader, guiding design patterns, coding standards, architecture decisions, and platform best practices.
• Set direction and governance for agentic AI-enabled engineering and SDLC/TLM automation to improve speed, quality, and operational outcomes.
• Apply knowledge of the SDLC toolchain, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development, to support capacity unlock initiatives at scale.
• Design and implement scalable, reusable software frameworks to enhance efficiency and collaboration.
• Build strong partnerships across business, product, and technology groups to achieve shared goals.

Requirements

• 10+ years of applied software engineering experience with formal training or certification.
• 15+ years of experience operating within the Financial and Technology domains.
• Proven experience leading the adoption of agentic AI-enabled engineering practices across teams.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use, including data sensitivity, security implications, and governance.
• Experience managing teams working on cloud-native solutions, microservices, and user interface experiences.
• Hands-on experience in Basel implementations, regulatory transformations, and advanced technologies like Gen AI.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Databricks and other cloud-native platforms.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies.
• Knowledge of emerging industry trends in fintech and AI.
