About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead technology and process implementations within the Observability Platforms space to support Site Reliability Engineers and Operations across the firm.
- Drive AIOps strategy and deliver technical solutions that can be leveraged across multiple business domains.
- Conduct vendor evaluations to define and implement roadmaps for future strategic products.
- Manage team resources, budgets, tactical operations, and the execution of technical processes.
- Maintain governance accountability for coding decisions, control obligations, and portfolio operations.
- Influence senior stakeholders across business, product, and technology teams.
Requirements
- Experience leading cross-functional teams of technologists, specifically within large-scale Observability Platforms (e.g., Splunk, Dynatrace, Elastic, Prometheus, Grafana, or Kafka).
- Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Demonstrated knowledge of automation as code principles for software application installation and configuration.
- Proven experience with AWS infrastructure or other cloud design and implementation.
- Strong ability to manage, anticipate, and solve complex technical challenges within a specialized domain.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience researching and developing AIOps or Machine Learning (ML) solutions.
- Proficiency in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming and database languages.
- Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies, including CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
- Direct experience with observability platforms such as Datadog, Splunk, or Prometheus.
