Director of Software Engineering - Data & Wealth Management

Responsibilities

• Act as the single-threaded owner for delivering end-to-end impactful technical solutions in collaboration with product and business partners.
• Set direction and governance for agentic AI-enabled engineering and SDLC/TLM automation to improve speed, quality, and operational outcomes.
• Lead technology and process implementations to achieve functional objectives and drive innovation.
• Make critical decisions regarding team resources, budgets, tactical operations, and process execution.
• Carry governance accountability for coding decisions, control obligations, and maintainability.
• Deliver reusable technical solutions that can be leveraged across multiple business domains.
• Influence peer leaders and senior stakeholders across business, product, and technology teams.

Requirements

• 10+ years of applied software engineering experience with formal training or certification.
• 5+ years of experience leading technologists to manage and solve complex technical challenges.
• Proven leadership experience within the Financial domain with strong Engineering and Data expertise.
• Experience championing AI-led engineering and implementing agentic AI-enabled practices.
• Practical experience with cloud-native technologies.
• Expertise in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
• Demonstrated experience in hiring, developing, and recognizing technical talent.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within the Wealth Management sub-domain.
• Experience working with Lead Management systems.
• Experience operating at the Architecture and Design level.
