About the Company

Perimeter Compute is a pre-seed venture specialized in modular, metro-edge AI capabilities. Co-founded by Montauk Capital, the company leverages existing infrastructure for inference deployment to provide low-latency, SLA-guaranteed performance across diverse GPU SKUs and colocation environments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct deep, tactical site evaluations assessing mechanical room capacity, condenser water loops, and electrical systems for liquid-cooled AI micro data centers.
• Provide granular cost and timing estimates for site upgrades, mechanical/electrical retrofits, and infrastructure gaps.
• Develop and refine technical specifications to maximize execution efficiency by third-party contractors.
• Partner with landlords, property management, and MEP contractors to manage build-outs and physical integration.
• Serve as the expert resource for contractors to ensure quality assurance against technical specs.
• Coordinate access for specialized mobile support and technical field support for ongoing maintenance.
• Ensure compliant physical and energy integration of modular infrastructure within building facilities.
• Resolve deployment blockers including network readiness, power concerns, and waste heat coordination.

Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience managing large-scale building retrofits, critical infrastructure, or data center/telecom deployments.
• Proven ability to conduct site evaluations and provide cost/timing estimates for complex MEP, power, and cooling upgrades.
• Deep technical understanding of MEP systems, liquid cooling, condenser water loops, and waste-heat infrastructure.
• Expertise in directing third-party contractors and building operators to ensure build-out compliance.
• Experience defining and refining technical specifications for external execution.
• Background in building operations or infrastructure-adjacent roles.
• Strong relationship management skills to build trust with building owners and operators.
