Director of Security

Responsibilities

• Supervise on-site security personnel including lobby, patrol, and access control
• Manage officer schedules, shift coverage, and overtime
• Monitor CCTV, alarms, and access control systems
• Respond to emergencies such as fire alarms, medical incidents, and disturbances
• Conduct safety inspections and identify security risks
• Perform staff management including training, onboarding, and performance evaluations
• Act as the primary point of contact for tenants and visitors regarding security issues
• Ensure detailed and accurate incident reporting and documentation
• Coordinate with police, fire, and EMS services

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• 2–3 years of security experience, preferably in Class A or commercial real estate
• Previous supervisory or lead officer experience
• Proficient in report writing and basic computer systems
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to obtain CPR/AED, Workplace Violence, and Active Shooter certifications within 10 days of hire
• Ability to pass background, fingerprint, and drug screenings

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supervising multi-building or campus-style properties
• Existing CPR/First Aid/AED certification
• Military or law enforcement background
