Director of Sales

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement annual sales and marketing plans to maximize hotel revenue.
• Identify and secure new corporate, government, travel agency, and group business opportunities.
• Maintain strong relationships with existing clients and key accounts through regular contact and site inspections.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to achieve revenue and occupancy targets.
• Collaborate with Revenue Management to optimize room rates and analyze market trends.
• Recruit, train, mentor, and supervise the sales team to foster a high-performance culture.
• Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and weekly/monthly performance reports.
• Represent the hotel at trade shows, networking events, and industry associations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
• 5–10 years of progressive hotel sales experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in a leadership or management role.
• Proficiency in CRM systems and hotel Property Management Systems (PMS).
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Excellent negotiation, relationship-building, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with major branded hotels (e.g., Hilton, Marriott, Hyatt, IHG).
• Master's degree in a relevant field.
• Certified Hospitality Sales Professional (CHSP) or Certified Hotel Sales Executive (CHSE) designation.
