About the role

Responsibilities

  • Build and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve or exceed revenue goals across linear, digital, streaming, and emerging platforms
  • Recruit, coach, develop, and retain a high-performing sales leadership team and staff
  • Lead pricing, inventory management, forecasting, and revenue pacing strategies
  • Partner with station leadership, marketing, and news teams to deliver integrated client solutions
  • Develop strong relationships with local business leaders, agencies, and community partners
  • Collaborate with TEGNA Sales to maximize opportunities with national, political, and strategic accounts
  • Maintain accurate forecasting, reporting, and communication with station and corporate leadership

Requirements

  • 10 years of media or advertising sales experience
  • 5 years of broadcast or multimedia sales leadership experience
  • Proven track record of achieving revenue goals and leading high-performing teams
  • Strong understanding of multiplatform advertising (broadcast, digital, OTT, CTV, and streaming)
  • Knowledge of political advertising sales cycles and revenue strategy
  • Experience with Salesforce and WideOrbit preferred
  • Working knowledge of Comscore and related analytics platforms preferred
