Director of Sales

Responsibilities

• Lead and scale the sales and trading function by managing a team of Traders and sales professionals.
• Drive profitable revenue growth across wholesale, retail, food service, and other strategic channels.
• Strengthen the sales operating cadence, including pipeline reviews, account planning, and pricing discussions.
• Create visibility and accountability around sales activity, margin performance, and execution gaps.
• Partner with senior leadership to translate company priorities into clear commercial direction.
• Support the sales team on complex customer conversations, supplier negotiations, and high-value opportunities.
• Monitor market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supply-demand shifts to support decision-making.
• Build repeatable sales processes, reporting tools, and performance expectations to support company scaling.

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive sales, trading, or commercial leadership experience.
• 5+ years of experience managing and coaching revenue-producing professionals (Traders, brokers, or sales teams).
• Strong background in food, commodities, perishables, protein, produce, or wholesale distribution.
• Proven ability to drive revenue growth, gross margin improvement, and pipeline discipline.
• Strong Excel, reporting, and sales data analysis skills.
• Ability to operate with urgency and high standards in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
