Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive, companywide safety strategy aligned with business objectives
• Provide full oversight of safety operations in high volume eCommerce facility
• Lead, mentor, and develop team members to build a high performing safety department
• Ensure strict compliance with Cal/OSHA, OSHA, and other regulatory agencies
• Design, implement, and continuously improve proactive safety programs including hazard identification and ergonomics
• Oversee all incident investigations and root cause analysis
• Partner with operations, HR, and workers’ compensation to manage claims and mitigate liability
• Develop and track key safety performance indicators (KPIs)
• Lead site audits, safety inspections, and compliance reviews
• Drive employee engagement in safety initiatives through training and communication

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, environmental health & safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field
• 12+ years of progressive safety leadership experience in distribution, warehouse, manufacturing, or eCommerce
• Extensive working knowledge of Cal/OSHA and Federal OSHA regulations
• Experience leading safety teams in large workforce environments (1,000+ employees)
• Strong understanding of workers’ compensation and risk mitigation strategies
• Experience building safety infrastructure including policies, SOPs, and dashboards
• Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a related field
• Professional safety certifications such as CSP, CIH, or CHST
• OSHA certifications
