Director of Resident and Family Services

Responsibilities

• Support residents and families in understanding and coping with the psychosocial challenges of aging and dementia
• Promote the community to civic and memory impairment-related groups
• Assist with interviewing, hiring, and performance evaluations of team members
• Maintain continuing education through academic studies, seminars, and workshops
• Participate in in-services, staff meetings, and case conferences

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW)
• Minimum 1 year of experience working with older adults
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working in an environment with animals and pets

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting individuals with memory impairment and their families
• Professional or volunteer experience with memory impairment organizations
