Director of Residence Life

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and administrative oversight for all aspects of the residential experience for students in University housing.
• Oversee the recruitment, supervision, training, and evaluation of Residence Directors, Paraprofessional staff, and Student staff.
• Establish goals, learning outcomes, and assessment processes to measure student satisfaction and engagement.
• Manage the overall student experience, including community development, educational programming, and student conduct.
• Partner with Housing Services on application processes, occupancy, and room assignments.
• Collaborate with University departments such as Safety Services, Student Mental Health, and Spiritual Life to ensure a high-quality living environment.
• Oversee the emergency on-call process and provide support for residential emergencies.
• Develop and manage Residence Life budgets and participate in strategic planning.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in a related field.
• Minimum of five years of progressive experience in Residence Life or student development leadership.
• Proven administrative and supervisory experience.
• Proficiency in personal computer software and related applications.
• Ability to uphold and exemplify the Christian mission, culture, and heritage of the University.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in higher education leadership within a faith-based environment.
• Demonstrated ability to manage conflict and resolve escalated student or parent concerns with professionalism.
• Strong organizational competence and attention to detail regarding programming and event coordination.
