Director of Research Operations; OPCVM

Responsibilities

• Oversee and enhance the research program by assisting OPCVM faculty with the research process.
• Create and maintain the strategic plan for LMU-OPCVM research in collaboration with administration and department chairs.
• Manage OPCVM research lab initiatives, including supply ordering, inventory maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Provide technical expertise, training, and assistance to graduate and DVM students on assigned projects.
• Initiate and supervise the intramural grant process, including budget tracking and reporting.
• Plan and execute research events, such as Research Day.
• Maintain comprehensive records of research activities, grant documentation, and budget spreadsheets.
• Supervise administrative assistants, work-study students, and other assigned personnel.
• Support student recruitment and participate in university committees.

Requirements

• Master's degree in a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in research development.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of university program goals and objectives.
• Familiarity with the veterinary medical field.
