About the role
Responsibilities
- Act as the main accountable person to the FAA for the repair station
- Manage the Continuing Analysis and Surveillance System (CASS) and Safety Management System (SMS)
- Oversee Quality Control, including Chief Inspectors and the quality control inspection group
- Revise repair station regulatory manuals and EAMS Operations Specifications
- Collaborate with customer Quality Departments on Airworthiness and Quality Assurance Agreements
- Manage the Corrective Action Reports (CAR) program and RCCA process
- Facilitate external audits and direct internal quality system self-audits
- Develop and track Quality KPIs for the repair station
- Oversee the Maintenance Training Department
Requirements
- 5+ years of Quality Assurance or Auditor experience
- 5+ years of experience as a "Chief Inspector" for a Part 145 Repair Station
- Advanced knowledge of 14 CFR Part 145 Quality Systems and MRO operations
- High-level knowledge of National Aviation Regulations (FAA, EASA, TCCA, ANAC, etc.)
- Proficiency in computer programs consistent with the position
Preferred Qualifications
- FAA Airframe and Power Plant Certificate
- B.S. Degree in Aerospace Management
- 10+ years of Aircraft MRO Quality experience
