Director of Property & Casualty Insurance

Responsibilities

• Oversee commercial insurance operations for the Self-Storage, RV & Campground, and Marina industries.
• Lead a high-performing sales and operations team to manage complex risk portfolios.
• Manage insurance programs tailored to specific industries tied to the Storable technology platform.
• Lead negotiations for high-value renewals and program expansions with top-rated P&C carriers.
• Develop and implement targeted loss control strategies for storage facilities, RV parks, and marinas.
• Review contracts and agreements from a risk management perspective, advising customers on indemnification and subrogation.
• Oversee the optimization of Applied Epic to ensure accurate real-time data for policy administration and claims.
• Conceptualize and implement new proprietary insurance programs and alternative risk transfer solutions.
• Manage the operational and financial performance of captive entities.

Requirements

• 7–10+ years of P&C insurance experience with a heavy focus on Commercial Lines and Property Portfolios.
• Expert-level proficiency in Applied Epic is mandatory.
• Active P&C Producer License.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent.
• Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong competency in risk mitigation, safety, and loss control for commercial customers.
• Proficiency in Google Suite and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to leverage data to identify book performance trends and underperforming segments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Alternative Risk Transfer (ART) and captives.
• Prior experience in Commercial Real Estate, Self-storage, RV & Campground, or Marina insurance markets.
• Advisory, consultative, or account management experience.
