About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the full portfolio of activities for the Professional Development Program, including scholarships, practicum placements, and budget management
- Supervise a team of three deputy directors and an administrative coordinator
- Establish and maintain working relationships with Schools of Social Work and other NYC graduate schools
- Manage the PDP budget, including developing scopes of work with consultants and overseeing expenditures
- Build partnerships with NYC contracted provider agencies regarding scholarships and reimbursements
- Oversee the review, evaluation, and quality control of high-quality practicum education programs
- Represent the ACS Workforce Institute and PDP at meetings, conferences, and public forums
Requirements
- Must be permanent (not provisional) in the civil service title of Administrative Director of Social Services
- Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university
- Four years of progressively responsible experience, including one year at the administrative or managerial level in a large governmental agency, business firm, or social services organization
- Equivalent combination of education and experience meeting the requirements above
