Director of Production and Community Placements

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the planning, scheduling, and utilization of shared instructional, rehearsal, studio, exhibition, and performance spaces.
• Oversee the effective use of technical resources and support personnel to ensure high-quality learning and performance environments.
• Support the execution of performances, exhibitions, lectures, screenings, and other School-sponsored public programs.
• Develop and sustain reciprocal partnerships with K–12 schools, cultural organizations, and community institutions.
• Facilitate Artists and Scholars Residencies that integrate visiting practitioners into coursework and public programming.
• Collaborate with faculty to integrate production experiences and community-based learning into the curriculum.
• Assist with planning, budgeting, and reporting related to production support and community-engaged initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• Minimum of three (3) years of related professional experience in production coordination, arts/humanities programming, community engagement, or experiential learning.
• Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
• Demonstrated commitment to equity, inclusion, and access when working with diverse populations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related field.
• Experience working within a higher education environment.
• Knowledge of arts production environments, academic scheduling, or community partnership development.
• Demonstrated commitment to liberal arts education and community-engaged learning.
